Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comBlogger45125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-33173596832861629672012-09-11T13:43:00.003-05:002012-09-11T13:44:19.251-05:00The Power of Knowing God review
This book is part of a series from Kay Arthur, founder of PRECEPT Ministries and inductive Bible study methodology. The study is topical, involving six lessons covering 5-8 sections of Scripture. Kay Arthur is well-known for her method of Bible study that incorporates marking, drawing, rectangles and lines, “squiggles”, colors and highlights. These lessons are an attempt to compact what would take a week of work and preparation into a 40 minute session that does not require preparation work. Although advertised as 40 minutes, it is a lot of information to cover and an individual or group may need more of an hour to do the lesson. They also may want to take more time to discuss the questions and applications as well. One drawback may be that a person does not want to mark up his personal Bible. Despite these concerns, the lessons are well-designed for individual or small group studies. There are good leadership points and interpreting/application questions.

This is a good book. It's very deep though (at least for me) and I would suggest you read it slowly.
John Bevere does a good job with this book. It includes a lot of Scripture (which I love) and brings about a reminder to believe ALL of God's Word and not just the parts that we deem ourselves "worthy" to believe.

If you want to go deeper in your faith then this book is a good start. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to stop half-way believing God's promises and wants to cling to all of them whole-heartedly.

I received this book for free from Waterbrook Multnomah in exchange of an honest review. I read this book in it's entirety and did not have to post a positive review.
It immediately gripped me and I instantly loved it.

Navy SEAL Team SIX Operator Adam Brown was on the famed SEAL Team Six -- the Team that took down Osama bin Laden. Adam was born in Arkansas and had unbelievable pride for his homestate. He had this bubble theory where if we were to completely cut off Arkansas from EVERYTHING - they would survive and prosper. That's just one of his many thoughts.

http://fearlessnavyseal.com/book-preview/

It follows Adam Brown's life story from when he was born to when he was a player on the Lake Hamilton Wolves football team -- to crushing defeat and an addiction to drugs which wound him up in jail. His story of redemption is a great, great one and I would strongly suggest this book to anyone.

Why I Hate Religion but Love Jesus is one of my favorite videos. I'm not going to get into the whole discussion because of the controversy and anger that have been spread out from it, but I will say I agree with most of his points.

Every day here has been a battle, but it's slowly getting better and better. I'm much more glad that we're dealing with this over here than over in Louisiana, because it might be much worse there. I do miss seeing my uncle almost daily, but it'll all work out. I'm just glad that we are here so we can deal with this on our own
instead of having to lean onto a lot of people.

Everything's okay over here today. Bella's still off the charts and growing like a weed. She's now four, her birthday was January Twenty Second, and she was really happy about it.

It's been three years since I last posted, so I never posted about the youngest sister. Her name is Elayna Mae as just about everyone, if any, read this know. She's eighteen months and a really good little girl. She was laid back at first, like I was as a baby, but she's turning into a little Bella.

Annalee's now eleven and does several things. She's made some good friends here with S.E.LA.H. and with her dance company. Which I like a lot more than the one we went to in Louisiana, but that's just my opinion. It seems nicer, but then again, I don't dance...thank God.

Like I said, I'm thirteen now, and I'm about 5'7" or 5'8" so I'm growing, which is nice..I'm just a big guy. It's been a long time since I've posted so hey, might as well just tell people about me. I'm not the small guy I used to be.

Anyways, I've been in Sachse, right in between Wylie and Garland for almost seven months now. Really nice area, honestly. We've found some really good BBQ and chicken places, Big Daddy's and Babe's Chicken Dinner House. Talk about fat boy's heaven! I'm hungry now!

We go to Gateway Community Church, which is one of the best places for us right now. We have no family here to help us, so it's making us lean more on friends and church family and it's helped us dramatically, because we are talking so much more here.

I used to be a super quiet guy, but ever since I've moved here, I've kinda gone off the deep end. Thanks Sydney and Patrick! *Cough* *Cough* Sarcasm *Cough* *Cough* Anyways, my best friends are here. I actually have several of them right now..which is surprising especially for me. Patrick, Sydney, Jordan, and Katey are amazing. They're making me be myself, which I'm not sure is a good thing at the moment, because I am kinda crazy here.

There was a long time where I kinda steered clear of books, but I am rediscovering my love for them. I got a Nook Tablet for Christmas from family, and it is pretty great. But right now I'm reading The Circle series by Ted Dekker. (Black, Red, White, and Green) which I would really give 4 stars.

There are so many things I want to do when I grow up. It's not certain for me right now, but there are a lot of things I've thought about. I've thought about joining the military when I turn 18. I've thought about becoming a missionary. Being a worship minister, which would probably not be very good, because i'm not a great singer...at all. Like nails on a chalkboard basically. I've thought about going to a theological seminary and becoming a pastor, which I feel led to do, but I'm not sure. I really want to become a writer and live in New York. Cheesy, I know.

I'm trying to get back into guitar because I have a passion for music, but I'm not finding a guitar teacher anywhere...Oh well.

I feel like I'm a robot here today. Everything I said last night in my blog post came out so eloquently, and it doesn't feel like it is on this post...so I'm sorry about that.

Anyways, this is it!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-72325134710823613462012-02-27T21:20:00.002-06:002012-02-27T21:40:54.011-06:00Starting out freshI haven't posted in almost three years now. A lot of things have changed in those short years, so I'm starting fresh, and deciding to blog. I'm a bit rusty at this, so, please excuse whatever problems there are.

I guess I'll start off from where I last dropped off. My last post was a bit dumb, being about facebook, and I have half a mind to delete all my old posts, but hey, might as well keep them. Might bring someone a bit of laughter later on.

I'm now thirteen years old, and I've moved from small West Monroe, in Louisiana, to Sachse, Texas, a part of the Dallas - Fort Worth - Arlington metroplex. It's a small town of about 19,000, but in Texas everything's large, and it doesn't seem small due to being in the metroplex.

My uncle, Raymond, has gotten out of jail. He was in there for three and a half years, constantly changing penitentiaries due to medical problems. He was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at eighteen months and it has been with him since. Well, he got out of jail in June, and in August-September was diagnosed with epilepsy and stage four pancreatic cancer. That's not the worst part! Not only does he have pancreatic cancer, but it has spread to his brain. Nice, right?

They're all kind've feeding off of each other. With diabetes he has to eat, but with pancreatic cancer it makes him not hungry. When he does get to eat, there's a chance he could have a seizure, which, there's always a chance he could have one. But when he does he may lose his lunch. I think that the brain cancer triggers his epilepsy some too, but you can't take my word on that because I'm not positive.

We moved to Texas in July of 2011, so about six months ago, I believe. My dad needed to find another job to support us so he put his resume online and shortly received several responses from all across the country. He had responses from Beverly Hills, CA, all the way to Albany, NY. He had several other ones that I'm not too sure of, but the one that stuck out was Dallas. Only five hours in a car from home, it was easily the closest and quickest without flying.

Well, things kinda whirlwinded after that. Only a month later, or so it seemed, dad had left to work his job in Dallas while we stayed in Louisiana. I remember that distinctly because it was around the time that the Dallas Mavericks beat the Miami Heat in a seven game NBA Finals.

After several failed attempts to find a house in Dallas for us to move into, we finally found one that we all loved. My mom found it on Craigslist only hours after it had been posted. It was a nice three bedroom two bath house in Sachse, Texas in the lovely and large neighborhood called Woodbridge. We visited it, and we all fell in love with it.

Two days later, on the way home to Louisiana, we were driving through Shreveport when mom got the call from dad that we had been approved to rent the house. We started packing almost immediately it seemed, being able to move in July 3rd.

July the Third came and went in a very fast flash. It seemed like only the week before we had started packing, and then we were there on a sunday morning, wishing everybody goodbye. That trip there was full of mixed feelings, for several reasons.

We were finally leaving West Monroe, Louisiana for what maybe for good. The house we have lived in for the past eight years was full of good days and bad days, sad memories and happy memories.

We were leaving family. Some of them we were glad to be away from, others we would miss dearly.

We were leaving the BEST church we had found in a long time, Christ Church. It helped us all in so many different ways. Shockwave was simply amazing for me. I have not completely filled that gap, but I am getting close to it.

We were headed for an unknown territory for our family.

There was a long time where we sat in what seemed like Church Limbo. We drifted from church to church, unable to find one that correctly fit the puzzle pieces of our family. Our first church we tried we sticked to for a few months, believing that was the one. The children's ministry was nothing short of great, the pastor was well spoken and a man of God, and the youth group was alright.

Things went well there until I started to get bullied. Maybe I was overreacting, but I wasn't in a good place there. Who wants to get bullied at a youth group, a place called a safe haven? Not me, that's for sure. We left shortly after.

We tried a few different churches, Northplace Church, Gateway Community Church (I will talk more of this later) and Watermark Church. Everyone loved Gateway, except for me. At first. So we went to Watermark, where we all liked. We went there for about a month, and then we felt led to try Gateway again.

We did, and I fell in love with the church. It feels like home. The youth group is amazing. The church feels more like home to me than home itself does. The head pastor, Pastor Blake, is a great man. Gateway has a great children's ministry that Annalee is involved in and loving. It was just a perfect piece for us.

My mom is in counseling and it seems to be helping us all. She's slowly getting better day by day, and sure she has some bad days, but I can tell she is happier now. I think this move to Dallas was the best decision that they have ever made.

I went to a youth event called Refuel, with FourTwelve (Gateway's youth) that was held at the first church we tried. I was severely anxious because of this, hoping I wouldn't see anyone that had intended to hurt me, but my nervousness was wrongly placed. I had an amazing time, being able to open up to some friends one night, and talking to the college student leaders.

I've made a lot of friends over here. We're still homeschooling, even though I had a short stint at Wylie Preparatory Academy, which wasn't a good fit for the family. We're now in a homeschool group called S.E.L.A.H. that has been wonderful. I've met some good friends there, and I've enjoyed it. I've met my best friends at FourTwelve, which are Patrick and Katey. I haven't known Katey for as long as I've known Patrick, but our friendship is actually really good right now.

Anyways, I've talked a lot so I'm sure I'll continue this post later. Thanks for actually paying attention..that is you didn't fall asleep after the first paragraph.

Annalee really liked it, but I did not. I enjoyed visiting and stuff like that, but I guess The Jungle Gym just isn't as much fun as it used to be, =P.
Mrs. Sherri, who does http://ourplaceourplace.blogspot.com/ was very nice and invited me to come over that day to play after the party. Her three kids, (2 boys, and a girl), are VERY nice. Patrick, who is 11, is definetly my BEST FRIEND!! Carter comes up as the same. They're both tied for 1st place Best friends. They have a pool and a platform in their backyard, which is extremely cool, so Patrick and Carter and I swam for most of the day. We came back inside and played Yu-Gi-Oh, ( a fun card-game ) and then went over with Mrs. Sherri, Madison, a friend of Madison's, Patrick, Carter, and then one of their neighbors out to their grandparents' house. We got to ride on a Go-Cart and then go jump on the trampoline. It started raining pretty soon, so we had to go back inside. We were inside right before it started raining. Mrs. Sherri ordered some pizza, and we played Yu-Gi-Oh some more, traded Yu-Gi-Oh Cards, played Spiderman: Web of Shadows, ate Johnny's Pizza and watched T.V. After we ate pizza, we played some more and then got some sleeping bags and watched Spiderwick Chronicles before we went to sleep.
The next day, we got up pretty early and started getting ready for church at 9:00. They go to Swartz First Baptist Church. Their church is really cool. We go to the big church for an hour, then go to Sunday School for another hour. I was with Patrick in his 5th grade class. Carter was in his 4th grade class.

After church, we went to O'Charley's by the mall in Monroe. O'Charley's was VERY GOOD, as it always is. I showed Patrick what I usually get, ( Kids' Chicken, and a bowl of potatoe soup). He got the same thing and LOVED it!
Soon, we were heading over to my house, and let Patrick and Carter come back over for a while.
We went to the park around 3:00 for mr. Timmy and Jimmy's Birthday Bash. It was really fun. I think Patrick and Carter really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed knowing I have two new best friends :). Happy Birthday, Mr. Timmy and Jimmy!!

We went back to the house, and played for awhile longer. Their mom came to get them around 7. We ended up spending the whole weekend together. Like my mom said, I can see us spending more days together during the summer. Again, Thanks for letting them come, Mrs. Sherri! And thank you for letting me go over there and stay the night Saturday night, and for taking me with you guys to O'Charleys!!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-81390897173450805102009-06-02T07:49:00.002-05:002009-06-02T07:57:59.583-05:00EasterWe had a great Easter. What made it all the better was it was the day Jesus came back alive from the grave. That Easter was probably one of my favorites.

Easter "Eve":
We went to Sterlington for a Easter Egg Flashlight Hunt. It was pretty cool. Annalee's friend's dad spoke, and told us about Easter. Then we went out for the easter egg hunt, (It wasn't really dark, we just had flashlights.), and tried to find the 2 real eggs. Annalee's friend found one, and then another little boy found the other one. After that, we went in and ate Nachos and had great Icecream Sundaes. Annalee's was so big, you couldn't even see the icecream from all the whipped cream and other stuff. I'm glad Annalee had fun, so did I.

Easter: I woke up a little while before the rest of us did, so I went to just go and watch T.V. till everyone wakes up. They all woke up around 7:30, and then we did Easter presents.Annalee got lots of candy and chocolate, a new easter basket, Bedtime Stories, and a new VERY Soft Pillowcase. I, got lots of chocolate and candy, Twilight (The Movie), and a new LSU football piggybank. We had a great Easter.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-40347338607999795742009-01-30T13:46:00.002-06:002009-01-30T13:52:43.446-06:00DragonballI finally found this site for Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT episodes were at. Idragonball.com. It has full episodes, you dont download at all. Just watch them on the net, like Youtube. So right now im on episode 11.....:)
Dragonballs=Overrated.

Also I get to watch this movie called D-Wars Dragon Wars. Its a Korean movie about the Korean Legend with Imoogis. Its like every 5 centuries, a Yu-Yi-Joo is born. The last Yu-Yi-Joo failed to protect the world against the Evil Buraki, a fallen Imoogi. The Yu-Yi-Joo's hometown was overrun by Buraki's army, and they killed the headman, her father. She eventually comitted suicide, along her protecter something called the Hamburn, I think lol. So Ethan goes to this store, Ethan is the main character. Jack the owner of the store, tells him about it. Years later Ethan finds a girl named Sarah, who is the Yu-Yi-Joo, and Ethan is the Hamburn. Buraki returns, and his army battle the U.S. army, and win, while the Imoogi's come down and help. Buraki defeats all but one, which is the dragon protector of the Yu-Yi-Joo and the Imoogi eventually dies. When the Yu-Yi-Joo is knocked unconscious, she wakes up on a altar, about to be devoured by Buraki. But she sacrifices herself to bring back the Imoogi, who wakes up and defeats Buraki and becomes the Celestrial Dragon. Sarah also becomes a Celestrial Dragon, and Jack dissapears in a cloud of dust. Ethan's life, then goes back to normal. And Buraki is never seen again.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-90332449107470558042009-01-30T13:40:00.003-06:002009-01-30T13:46:45.689-06:00Books and books Galore.Today my mom went to the annual library booksale, probably our last one because of the new law in effect on Feb. 10th, and we went to our grandma's. We watched The Parent Trap while bella played on the floor. Mom ended up seeing Mrs. Cynthia, one of her friends from Homeschooling. She ended up getting 200-300 books. Not my mom, Mrs. Cynthia. My mom found Eragon and 3 Jason Bourne books, Bourne Identity, Bourne Supremacy, and Bourne Betrayal. Also she got me a anime book and a book about the war and the Soviet Union. I havnt posted in awhile, so this is stuff we've done lately:
Wednesday, I got to write a letter to President Obama. My mom has a post about it in her blog, Musingsofahomeschoolingmom. Its about this guy, Don Piper, I think, that died in a carwreck and went to heaven and was ressurected 90 minutes later. Im hoping to read it.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-80019042723919517102009-01-23T13:35:00.002-06:002009-01-23T13:43:05.089-06:00Last night, Bella had a silly confrontation with cake.Yesterday, my littlest sister turned one! First we went to the gym in the morning, and she played there for awhile. After, we went back home and she took a nap, and we had lunch.

While my dad had a lunch break, Bella woke and put her hands out to dad in the bed, and dad picked her up and Bella said, "Thank you",!.

After lunch, we went out to Wal-Mart and Bella picked out 3 toys. Anna picked out a 2 toys to give to Abigail, a girl she met from Co-Op. Her Birthday party is tonight, so Mom and Anna are going to Sterlington for it.

Bella took another nap, and then after that, we went to BBQ West to celebrate, (It was steak-night; everyone loves steaks but me, I hate them) And Grandma Sheila came and gave Bella 2 cute dresses.

After that, we went home and ate a piece of cake, (For Bella's fun, check my mom's blog out. Musingsofahomeschoolingmom.) She got it in her hair, and on her face. Bella opened presents soon after, and starting playing with them.

Bella got a ball popper thing, and anna's playing with it more than her.

All in All, bella had a good Bday.

I still think she probably is wondering why we dont do this everyday. Lol!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-72934282038991039392009-01-17T08:25:00.002-06:002009-01-17T08:32:28.649-06:00*Sigh*Last night my parents went to go feed the goldfish, and mine was dead. That was the first time one of my pets died while I owned them. A few days after we got them, it was doing fine. It'd hide in the rock alot though. Until the last two days, he was great. Then he started getting whiter and whiter, and we looked it up. It meant he either had a disease, fungus, or parasite. So I'm hoping the disease was non-catchable, the parasite flushed down with the fish, and the fungus isnt thriving under that rock. =P. So yesterday, I flushed him down the toilet, and supposedly today, I'm going with Nana and Dad out to Ruston to get some antique furniture from a lady. Then we'll go help Nana at her house, to get it all in, then maybe we'll go to Wally World or Petco to get me another goldfish, or a freshwater fish compatible with the goldfish. (I wanted a beta but apparently they kill each other if in same aquarium.)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-66732630583495453522009-01-14T15:33:00.003-06:002009-01-14T15:36:37.438-06:00Gooooollld FishWell, as you guys know, We got a aquarium for Christmas. It was a 2 gallon Aquarium. So Saturday, we went to PetCo! to get some goldfish with our mammaw. We could only get one each, because you're supposed to have 1 fish per gallon. We got to Petco and we looked at the fish, and then the dogs, cats getting groomed, and the ferrets/mice/rats/Guinea Pigs. I nearly begged to get 2 guinea pigs. Our friends Laura and French got their kids Malcolm and Mackenzie 2 guinea pigs, Bobin and Bobina. I really wanted them. :) We went to the goldfish aquarium, and anna got a medium sized Goldfish, while I got a big one. Mine grows to 6 1/2 inches or 7. I think. Anna's grows to about 4 1/2. So right now, there names are Wrangler and Arnold Frankenstein.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-80018767276162998322009-01-14T15:22:00.002-06:002009-01-14T15:31:34.383-06:00New YearsSo I havnt posted in awhile...

New Years Eve:
We went to Mrs. Sheila's and Mr. Jimmy's for New Years. We ate Frito Pie, Sausage, Gumbo, Southern Blaze Bake, etc. It was really good. About an hour or two when we're over there, Tiffany starts feeling bad, so she goes and lies down. We sit down and play the Wii, (stand up really). Playing Activision i think. After awhile, I go and watch the adults play the other Wii, after the LSU Tigers game is over. Tigers won 31-14 I think? After a bit of watching them play, we went outside and we did fireworks, etc. It was great.

New Years Day:
We went to my great-grandmother's house NYD. Mel Mel, Nanna, Johnnye, Papaw Allie and Rusty, and my parents were there. We ate cabbage and hamburger meat, Vegetable Soup and Cornbread, for supper. Before supper we watched Daddy Day Care, and then after The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
We had a great New Years.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-40112326206822559732008-12-28T13:15:00.002-06:002008-12-28T13:35:28.488-06:00Christmas Day.This year we woke up around 7ish, (me 6:50ish). It was silly. I counted down the last 10 minutes on my watch then woke my mom up. She got up, and got dressed and all and then woke up my dad and Annalee. We went to the living room and Whoooppee! We had 2 stockings full, and 10 gifts each. I got Wall-E, Daddy Day Care, Clue!, Apples to Apples, ToothTunes and new toothpaste, Extra gum, the new Nick magazine, with 2 posters. We went on a scavenger hunt, looking for our Nintendo DS and games. We found the first one in the kitchen, in the pantry. My first game was Star Wars Force Unleashed, and a note. Then we went to the living room and there was 2 more games for both of us, 1 ea. They both had notes, and we read them. My 2nd game was Brainquest. Then we looked in my parents' bathroom, and there was the last 2 games! Mine had another note, and it was Star Wars: The Clone Wars Jedi Alliance.

Last, we went into our parents HUMONGOUS closet, and looked for our Nintendo DS'. I found them, and mine was Onyx Black, with Anna's being Hot Pink. This was probably our favorite Christmas ever.

The night before, on Christmas Eve, we went to our great grandmother,Willie Mae's, house. We ate there like normal redneck families do, and then went and looked under our small Christmas tree. Annalee had 3 different presents, I had one. It was 20Q. But, Anna got 10$ for Cmas money, and I got 60$. Hannah, brought her boyfriend, Brad, again. Him and I are seriously like two peas in a pod. There is this one thing we do where I come up to him, he pretends to punch me, and I duck. I add my own Special Fx and moves. He just does the punching and the laughing. We got along quickly.

Before we had to go, suddenly, Willie Mae goes, "Jessie (my mom) Could you get those pictures of michael and annalee out of here? I dont want anything to happen to them." She scared me so badly when she said that. I thought she was saying she would die before Christmas next year. I know she's 89, but thats not too bad is it? But then I asked mom what she meant by that, and she said, " Oh I think she's afraid the house will fall down or something. Look at the cracks in the ceiling." So I'm still not for sure if she was reassurring her or me. But it was an awesome Christmas.

Apparently, DS' are easy to get finger prints on. This is a big ol' Redneck fact. Now...lemme try to work up my own Christmas story.

The Big Ol' Redneck Christmas:
There was once a night,
with no coyotes howling,
everyone snoring,
even my great aunt mauwee,
but then i heard,
the great christmas sleigh,
so i grabbed up my shotgun,
and woke the others,
except my great aunt mauwee,
we went a whoopin',
out the front door,
looking for big ol' mr. santy-clause,
but then we heard,
the big ol' gruntin of a boar hog.
We looked up,
and o'course mr. santy-clause,
was up and stuck in the chimney.
as we watched and watched,
blitzen, mezten, and donner,
tried to push ol' redneck,
santy-clause down the chimney.
So we formed this big ladder,
made out of ol' rednecks,
and climbed each other to the top,
but we had to pull ol' Bill Rednacker,
because he was the tallest,
and at the bottom.
After that confrontation,
we picked up our slingshots,
and made the chimney wider,
and with the help of ol' big Westin,
we pushed Santy-Clause down the chimney.
As we shoved and heaved,
it seemed as if Santy-Clause got taller and taller,
because he had his feet at the bottom, and his head at the top.
So we made him kneel and sit,
and got a few into the house,
and pulled him out.
Later that night, as we all were heading to bed,
with presents under the tree,
and stockings filled.
We heard ol' Santy Clause going,
"Merry Christmas, ye ol' Rednecks!"
So as that was last heard,
we climbed into bed,
and fell asleep,
listening to Aunt mauwee snore.
________________________
I thought of that me self! :D

Merry Christmas!
-MichaelUnknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-1953032197515336532008-12-24T11:39:00.002-06:002008-12-24T11:50:27.184-06:00Sunday's givings and Christmas on TuesdaySunday we went and bought gifts for the poor. Cameron, my cousin, and I went and had to be a pair to find presents, we found a total of 9 things for 50$ (25$ ea.) Our other cousins found a lot of stuff also, but we found the most. Grandma ended up spending around $273.67 for the gifts. Before that, we went and ate at Chile's. The wait there was an hour, so we went to Logan's, the wait for there was 1 hour and a 1/2.So we went to El Chile Verde's because Hannah and Bekah know the owners through Tia and Tio. It was like a 45 minute wait, but it was good anyway. So we went to the south and east side of West Monroe, and gave out gifts. They went quickly. About after 30-45 mins of driving around, we finished. Erika, Cameron, Hannah, Bekah, Aunt Kelly, Grandma, Grandpa, Andrew, Annalee, Ashley, and I went. It was awesome.

Also, last night we went and ate at my other grandma's.We normally spend the night over there, but this year no one did. We ate Frito Pie and Gumbo. After, we opened presents. I got Brisingr (3rd book in Inheritance Trilogy by 21-year old Christopher Paoulini), Hot Hoops, a Aquarium, The Chronicles of Narnia:Prince Caspian; 2 Nintendo DS games: Mario Kart DS, and Need for Speed Undercover; Me and annalee shared a Uno Attack game, and we each got a toothbrush set to clean placque I guess. Today we got to my great-grandmother's in Calhoun, for Christmas. I hope we have an awesome time.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-58789306897503158722008-12-21T07:19:00.001-06:002008-12-21T07:32:43.077-06:00Christmas Party !!! And Outreach !!!!Yesterday, from 10am-2pm we went to a small community park in a poor part of West Monroe for a Christmas Outreach. We had 200 fish fillets, 175 presents for the kids, and 75 grocery bags. They were all gone when it was over. Santa (Ronnie) came around 12:45ish and gave presents to the kids. KNOE8 News came and filmed us for a little while. He gave out presents, while me, Dad, Jason, and Austin gave out grocery bags to the parents. We also had a basketball court and a jumper for kids. I had to get in the jumper with Anna, and ended up helping watch with Clay. There was this one really cute little black kid, smaller than a dinner table, probably no more than 3, that got in there. He was mainly crawling around, being pushed about, stepped on, and nearly fell on. He tried to get on the slide and slide down, but he couldn't even reach the handles. I picked him up and put him on there, still holding on to him, because 3 big guys jumped onto it from the jumper and slid down. I finally got him on it, and this guy with a yellow +black shirt jumped on, nearly headbucked him, and rolled over him. It surprised me that the little boy didn't even cry. One time earlier on, Emily, from church was getting onto the slide, and someone else started jumping on it, and it flung her off on her back. She didn't even get hurt. Also, around 10:50ish-11:20ish we went door to door to tell people about the Outreach. Tia, (My aunt; the pastor's wife) didn't even get one door to open for her. Austin, went to a door and had to speak through the door to a riverbend Principal, and then to the lady without a door in front of her. Tia came up and told her what was happening, While Austin stuttered over words. We busted a gut behind him, and when I told him, he was like, "Huh? Why?" That made them laugh even more.

Today is the Christmas Party at church for kids. We have to get there by 9:30, and it goes through 11 I think. We are having our regular lessons, and then Food, food, and more food. Also we will learn about the true meaning of Christmas, play games, inside and out, and just have alot of fun!

Also, after Church, I have to go to my grandmother's, we'll go eat, and then go shopping for unfortunately poor kids and give them gifts for christmas. We started it last year, and I hope the tradition'll last. She got me a Bday present in September, Madden 09 All-Play, so I'm good :DUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-24299538763807712962008-12-19T09:51:00.000-06:002008-12-19T09:55:16.089-06:00How the Grinch Stole Christmas.Last night I watched two airings of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, (Jim Carrey version), on ABC Families. It made me think, What is Christmas really about? In different parts of the story, They say presents. But little Cindy Lou Who says its about family and friends, I was thinking about it last night. Cindy Lou Who was right about the family and friends, but also Jesus. That day is the day Jesus Christ is born. A lot of people right now think its just about gifts, and nothing else. Its funny how the Grinch is a big hairy Who, with no one around to make him happy, he's a old hermit living inside a freezing mountain. And then he gets his heart 3x bigger? I dont get it. But hey, its still a good movie.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-67216261045665853952008-12-19T09:49:00.001-06:002008-12-19T09:51:17.681-06:00Let it snow! We've been getting Winter weather warnings and advisorys lately, so I hope it snows just like last year. Last year, we went to my grandmother's house who owns rolling hills + 26 acres or so? She owns Rolling Hills Farms and Triple AAA Mini-Storage. Right now, they're living in the Ashford Place Apartments. There aren't many trees there, so I hope we get to go if it snows. :DUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-26199072649927078612008-12-19T09:47:00.001-06:002008-12-19T09:49:29.293-06:00Christmas OutreachLife Church is having a Christmas Outreach in a poor side of town tommorrow for all the kids and adults who need help. We're having a fish fry, giving away presents for the kids, groceries for the adults, There will be one or two jumpers set up for the kids.... So people should come. It'll be great. Last year it was on the News, with interviews with Uncle Joel, the pastor and a few other Life Group members. We are getting presents today and taking them to church for tomorrow. I hope we get to go.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-2043620011732031862008-12-15T12:00:00.000-06:002008-12-15T12:14:57.045-06:00Breaking DawnI finished Breaking Dawn about a week ago, 3 days after I started it. There are 3 books in it, Bella's view for the 1st, Jacob Black's for the 2nd, and Bella's for the 3rd.

Book 1:
Isabella "Bella" Swan gets married to Edward Cullen, the vampire. They go to Isle Esme for their honeymoon, in the Carribbean Sea. A week later, She discovers a box of Tampons. She finds out she's pregnant, and calls Carlisle, her dad-in-law. He confirms the belief, and they rush home.

Book 2:
Jacob Black is a werewolf, the next in line for the Alpha Wolf. He becomes Beta, and Sam Uley is Alpha. He leaves the pack after they decide to kill Bella to kill the baby. Seth Clearwater and Leah Clearwater also leave and join Jacob's new pack. They keep Sam and his pack away, for a month while Bella is pregnant. A month after learning Bella's pregnant, she goes into labor. She has an emergency C-Section and dies. Renesmee is born.

Book 3:
This is Bella's side of the story. It talks about the searing, fiery, deathly pain. She gets Vampire poison injected into her heart. 3 days later, she wakes up as a Newborn Vampire, very thirsty. She goes on a Hunt with Edward, (they only hunt animals, their "Vegetarians"). She learns Renesmee is well and thriving. Soon afterwards, she is tested by Jacob, who imprinted on Renesmee. Bella gets to see Renesmee for the first time. She is looking for her mom. But a few minutes after holding her, she learns Jacob imprinted and nicknamed her baby, Nessie, after the Loch Ness monster. A quick confrontation occurs, where she breaks Seth's left shoulderblade. Seth is treated by Carlisle. About a week after Nessie is born, she starts to talk saying, "Mama where is Grandpa?" A little while later, she goes hunting with Bella, Edward, and Jacob. Irina, a vampire in the Denali Clan sees Renesmee and believes her a Immortal Child. An Immortal Child is a mortal baby turned into a Vampire. Irina reports to the Volturi, an Italian vampire coven, and they come to Forks. They come a month after Alice foresees the Volturi. She, and Jasper, her mate, go to find Nomads, and half-human half-vampire breeds like Nessie. The wolves stand with the vampires, and they testify against the Volturi. Aro, the main Volturi, decides to leave unlike Marcus and Caius' wishes. The Volturi and their guard leave, and the Cullens can live in peace. That is Bella and Edward's happily ever after.

Sounds like a good book, huh? It is. Go check it out. :D

-Michael.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3007328625820850335.post-86740881276665916962008-12-15T11:54:00.000-06:002008-12-15T11:59:20.538-06:00Bekah.My cousin Bekah, has a blogspot called My Life.blogspot.com. I feel sad for him. He stole a car while on drugs, and was caught. He also stole my grandma's credit card and a few other things. Stealing is illegal, and hence has consequences. I feel sorry for my Uncle Raymond. A few days ago, he wrote to me on Thanksgiving wishing me Thanksgiving and other stuff, and asking me to write back. I did, and he wants to know if i wanna learn how to play Golf with him, and do a Tournament with him if Im good. I wanna learn, and kinda dont. And I dont know a good way to say no, so I'm just going with yes, I guess. He's 23, or 24 and my mom's only brother. He loves golf, golf tournaments, LSU tigers, Saints, WM REBELS!!!! And is a football fanatic. I feel really sorry for him, and I'll be 13 1/2 or 14 years old when he gets out. He also wants to see if I'll go to a few football games with him. Of course, I said yes. :D So, guys, please pray for him, He has 3 1/2 more years to go in prison. He's also sick with Diabetes, so please pray for him.

-MichaelUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0
